Description
2 Peter 2:12-17 Welcome to another hard message from 2nd Peter. Today we will be talking about pseudo-salvation. And those who lead others into false beliefs and teachings about spiritual matters of which they know very little. I hope you listen closely to Martin Luther's quote from a sermon in 1531 concerning standing against false doctrine and those who would lead you away from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and total trust in the Word of God. As we go through today's verses there are huge lessons to learn and to realize that hell is the blackness of darkness forever. I quickly go over 7 different kinds of false sinful people and teachers that you will know what to watch out for. 56min
John 18b The Start of 6 Trials

John 18:15-40

Description
John 18:15-40 We have lots to cover today. In understanding the six trials of Jesus; three Roman and three Jewish, there is much to be learned and studied. I will be hitting some of the high points but hopefully you will take the two handouts that I have now given you and study the different Scriptures concerning the culmination of Jesus' life. There are so many minute details that relate to the Old Testament as well as the things that have already happened in the New Testament that there is not time to go into them all. I pray that as you study the four Gospels and other related Scriptures that the Holy Spirit will lay on your heart that this period of Jesus life will become an inspiration and encouragement to you. Understanding Jesus love for Peter, even though he has messed up repeatedly is such a wonderful promise to how our God loves us also. But why did this innocent man (Jesus) have to die? We need to understand it was God's plan from before the beginning of time, because man needs a Savior. 48min.

Description
Today's lesson is a summary of some of the things we have already learned in Romans. I know for a fact, if you are like me,, it is hard to remember the sermons that have been long past. Maybe, there is a pointer or two that you do remember, but there is one big overpowering concept that needs to be recalled at this point in time. It has to do with God's GRACE and what we understand about it, and what we do with it. Prayerfully today the lesson will help you to reflect personally on how God's grace has impacted your life. We all need to have gratitude, and amazement about how God loves us. Just maybe, this teaching today, will help you reflect on God's love for YOU! 53min

Matthew 5:1-12 For me the next several Sundays are going to be exciting to review with you. Because Jesus is laying out very clearly what the kingdom of God is all about, and how we should conduct ourselves. The people at heard these blessed words were a lot like us. They had trials and frustrations that have always been common to man. So if we listen to Jesus's words and realize this is what God would like us to learn and follow it will be a very profitable time for all of us. In this first short section there are promises that we need to understand and hang onto. I pray you will write down some notes as the Holy Spirit brings some precious thoughts into your mind. 45min

John 1:39-51

Description
John 1:39-51 As we read how Jesus gets his first 5 disciples, there are some interesting lessons to be learned. However, we are going to start today's lesson with week 25 and 26 Bible verses. Jude 24 & 25, and 1John 4:9-10. In looking at our 52 Bible verses for the year, sometimes these fall in line with our Scripture studies in the Gospel of John and sometimes they don't. But I do believe they have value in our growth. Anyway, there are some subtle lessons from John's Gospel that we need to pick up today. The big question for the day is: who do you think Jesus is? How closely are you following him? Is your relationship with Him a first priority in life? In this day and age it is hard to imagine these 5 men dropped everything to follow Jesus immediately. Jesus is still saying "come, follow me - you will see greater things than these". Are you willing? 39min PS I have a fantastic, thought-provoking, 7 page article on how amazing & transforming God's GRACE is. It was written by David Bryant a pastor and Christ proclaimer for over the 40 years now. I have read it at least 8 times & each time it has a greater impact on me. Acts 4:32-37 There was power in those lives & and unity of their hearts & souls. Yes "stuff" was sold & shared but not out of compulsion but out of the love they had for each other and the focused commitment on spreading the good news about the risen Son of God. There was hope and joy in the middle of hard & treacherous times - but God's grace abounded and covered all those who believed and walked together in unity. 31min

Description
Luke 22:41-44 plus many other scriptures. Plus we will first have communion together. This Easter Sunday message is to help you understand what Jesus went through in his humanness that night in the garden of Gethsemane. We know the typical Easter Sunday message of the resurrection, but have you ever stopped to contemplate Jesus human response to what He was about to undergo? I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you understand this message in a way that you've never even thought about before. Do we really understand the cost of being freed from our sin? A lesson that comes out of this message is are you willing to do what Jesus would have you do regardless of the cost? 58min

Description
Matthew 10:16-26 As we study this section of Jesus teaching, we know as Christians we are going to be as sheep among the wolves. There are some important lessons being taught in these verses. Persecution is not new, and it will continue until we are out of here. But we know we can have peace in the middle of tribulation because Jesus has overcome the world. We are to be wise and understand the battle that we are in because it is a war between good and evil. There are some practical lessons included here but probably one of the most important is not to fear these coming persecutions. 49min

In Luke 15 Jesus presents to us how He & The Holy Spirit & God all seek those who are lost or off tract. The bringing home of the lost (sinners, or saints that are astray) brings much joy into the kingdom of God. These 3 parables (only presented here in Luke) teach us much about how God works in one big lesson comprised of three parts. We must think deeper than just the words and see the parallels between the tax collectors, the pharisees, and ourselves. Point is Jesus doesn't give up & He will bring home all His people and there will be much rejoicing in heaven! 52min

Many scriptures are going to be covered today. But our primary teaching will be taken from James chapter 1, Philippians chapters 3 and 4, and Hebrews chapters 10 and 12. As the times we live in are becoming more tumultuous and stressful we need to understand that God wants His children to live in peace. So how do we stand strong in the times when everything around us is falling apart? There are specific guidelines that we will address today from God's Word. I pray that this message will encourage you to stand strong even when you feel like everything is falling apart. Be ready with your pencil and paper, because there are quite a few other scriptures that play into today's lesson that you may want to jot down and memorize. 59min

I realize this isn't an easy thing to do but we are teaching this in love. God wants the very best for you - and this is not taught to shake anyone up, but It is teaching the whole Word of God as it comes from teaching book by book, verse by verse. Description
John 11:1-16 Today's lesson although not an easy one, is a very important one. How many of you have thought "why me Lord?" or "this can't be happening now Lord!" Well it does! God's timing is not our timing. But we need to understand that God loves us and does hear our prayers. We also need to understand that in this life God allows trials to teach us, grow us, and learn to trust Him more. This story about raising Lazarus from the dead has so many implications. When you and I read the Bible, many times we just gloss over important things and don't really meditate on what those scriptures really mean. I hope this lesson and my hand out (available if you just give me a call) will help you cope with your challenges of life. God bless you in your trials of life! 38min

Matthew 12:15-30

Description
Matthew 12:15-30 In our teaching this week, there is going to be quite a bit of emphasis on the workings of the Holy Spirit. As Jesus healed the sick and cast out demons the religious leaders of the day refused to recognize the power of God. They even accused Jesus of working on the power of Satan. As our days grow darker under the influence of evil we must all (as Christ followers) learn more about how the Holy Spirit works and to hear that still small voice of God's love and compassion toward mankind. Included are eight scriptures from Matthew on what the Holy Spirit is and does. There is no neutral ground, either we are on God's side in this spiritual war or we are part of the devils company who will be judged and condemned forever. 57min

Mark 9:14-29 Can a believer have doubts - absolutely! Does God ever get frustrated with us? Is there anything we can do to help our faith? Why is it important to ask God for help? Unbelief has no power. Our power failure is directly linked with our prayer failure. Lots of different Bible verses today! Some big lessons in Jesus healing the deaf-mute boy and casting out the evil spirit. We fail for exactly the same reasons the disciples failed in this simple task. We need to recognize the power of God is not limited by our circumstances. We need to pray like the boys father, "Lord I believe; help my unbelief!" 47min

2 John v1-13 WOW I can't believe it! I got through a whole book of the Bible in one sermon! Seriously, in these few short versus there are lots of lessons to be learned. You will note as you listen that we refer back to the Gospel of John a lot. That is because the Apostle John is reminding his people what he had taught them in the past. We need to understand that the good news of the gospel has not changed, the truth of God will last forever. You need to understand that even back then false teachers were perverting the truths of God's Word. Things in this world have not changed much, but we need to learn from this small letter to the believers who lived back then. 45min

As Jesus is using every day things that help explain the spiritual, hopefully anyone who has ears to hear can pick up on the deeper meanings. I pray you remember the example of the Pearl, because as we look at that part of the Scripture we can see how Jesus Christ is changing our lives and we are becoming something of great value. I believe Ephesians 2:1-10 helps bring out even greater meaning to today's teaching. 45min

Description
John 15:18 - Jn 16:4 Today we have another hard lesson from Jesus. Who you are as a Christian is at least in part going to determine what the world thinks of you. Jesus has said the world hated him therefore it will hate His followers. Are you prepared for this? And more importantly, is your life emanating enough of Jesus where the world recognizes you as different? In this lesson, it will become clear that friendship with the world is hatred toward God. I don't know if you have ever thought about this, but we are called to be something other than worldly. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, our faith and trust in God's word, and our determination to love one another we can become purveyors of light. So how is your Christian walk? For some this lesson will be an encouragement; for others it may bring a challenge. 45min

We will look at other scriptures from John, Romans, Ephesians, 2nd Corinthians, and Titus that will shed some more "light" on the subject. A lot is packed into these few verses. 49min

Luke 18:1-17 Happy New Year! Well, the Lord is given us another year to try and get it right. In this day and age above all things we need to be in the word of God and in communication with God. But most people don't understand prayer. Prayer does three things for us, it builds our faith, it multiplies our hope, and it magnifies the love of God toward us. If you don't know how to pray effectively and with confidence what does that tell you about your walk with God? Isn't Christianity supposed to be more of a relationship instead of a religion? Do you have the faith and the confidence of a little child? In my hand out today, there are all sorts of prayers and ways of praying; but the main point is God hears them all if you are his child. So pray always, pray constantly, and pray knowing that God hears your prayers. 43min

There are some definite does, and don'ts, that we must learn if we are going to stay in a good relationship with our Savior. I pray you will write down some of the many Scriptures that I'm going to just read to you, so that you can look them up later. We need to learn about pride, and gut wrenching repentance, and how God has provided for us forgiveness, and a way back to be in full fellowship with Him.We must never fight these spiritual battles on our own. 48min
