2 Peter 2c For Those Who Lead Astray
Pastor Nelson
2 Peter 2:12-17

Description
2 Peter 2:12-17 Welcome to another hard message from 2nd Peter. Today we will be talking about pseudo-salvation. And those who lead others into false beliefs and teachings about spiritual matters of which they know very little. I hope you listen closely to Martin Luther's quote from a sermon in 1531 concerning standing against false doctrine and those who would lead you away from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and total trust in the Word of God. As we go through today's verses there are huge lessons to learn and to realize that hell is the blackness of darkness forever. I quickly go over 7 different kinds of false sinful people and teachers that you will know what to watch out for. 56min

Luke 7:1-17

Description
In Luke 7:1-17 we see the amazing faith of a "gentile" who serves as a model for the Jews. We see that the grace of God is for everyone and that a heart knowledge of who Jesus is surpasses ethnic barriers. We also see instead of man reaching out to God that Jesus reaches out to us in the middle of our pain & loss. 29min
Mark 9b Belief and Doubt

Mark 9:14-29

Description
Mark 9:14-29 Can a believer have doubts - absolutely! Does God ever get frustrated with us? Is there anything we can do to help our faith? Why is it important to ask God for help? Unbelief has no power. Our power failure is directly linked with our prayer failure. Lots of different Bible verses today! Some big lessons in Jesus healing the deaf-mute boy and casting out the evil spirit. We fail for exactly the same reasons the disciples failed in this simple task. We need to recognize the power of God is not limited by our circumstances. We need to pray like the boys father, "Lord I believe; help my unbelief!" 47min
John 18b The Start of 6 Trials
Pastor Nelson
John 18:15-40

Description
John 18:15-40 We have lots to cover today. In understanding the six trials of Jesus; three Roman and three Jewish, there is much to be learned and studied. I will be hitting some of the high points but hopefully you will take the two handouts that I have now given you and study the different Scriptures concerning the culmination of Jesus' life. There are so many minute details that relate to the Old Testament as well as the things that have already happened in the New Testament that there is not time to go into them all. I pray that as you study the four Gospels and other related Scriptures that the Holy Spirit will lay on your heart that this period of Jesus life will become an inspiration and encouragement to you. Understanding Jesus love for Peter, even though he has messed up repeatedly is such a wonderful promise to how our God loves us also. But why did this innocent man (Jesus) have to die? We need to understand it was God's plan from before the beginning of time, because man needs a Savior. 48min.

Description
Today's lesson is a summary of some of the things we have already learned in Romans. I know for a fact, if you are like me,, it is hard to remember the sermons that have been long past. Maybe, there is a pointer or two that you do remember, but there is one big overpowering concept that needs to be recalled at this point in time. It has to do with God's GRACE and what we understand about it, and what we do with it. Prayerfully today the lesson will help you to reflect personally on how God's grace has impacted your life. We all need to have gratitude, and amazement about how God loves us. Just maybe, this teaching today, will help you reflect on God's love for YOU! 53min

Luke 9:51-56. Jesus has set His face toward Jerusalem and His goal of setting all of mankind free from their punishment for sin (if they will accept His payment). He is willing to see everyone as they really are & Jesus loves them anyway. 39min

Matthew 5:1-12 For me the next several Sundays are going to be exciting to review with you. Because Jesus is laying out very clearly what the kingdom of God is all about, and how we should conduct ourselves. The people at heard these blessed words were a lot like us. They had trials and frustrations that have always been common to man. So if we listen to Jesus's words and realize this is what God would like us to learn and follow it will be a very profitable time for all of us. In this first short section there are promises that we need to understand and hang onto. I pray you will write down some notes as the Holy Spirit brings some precious thoughts into your mind. 45min

John 1:39-51

Description
John 1:39-51 As we read how Jesus gets his first 5 disciples, there are some interesting lessons to be learned. However, we are going to start today's lesson with week 25 and 26 Bible verses. Jude 24 & 25, and 1John 4:9-10. In looking at our 52 Bible verses for the year, sometimes these fall in line with our Scripture studies in the Gospel of John and sometimes they don't. But I do believe they have value in our growth. Anyway, there are some subtle lessons from John's Gospel that we need to pick up today. The big question for the day is: who do you think Jesus is? How closely are you following him? Is your relationship with Him a first priority in life? In this day and age it is hard to imagine these 5 men dropped everything to follow Jesus immediately. Jesus is still saying "come, follow me - you will see greater things than these". Are you willing? 39min PS I have a fantastic, thought-provoking, 7 page article on how amazing & transforming God's GRACE is. It was written by David Bryant a pastor and Christ proclaimer for over the 40 years now. I have read it at least 8 times & each time it has a greater impact on me. Please let me know if you would like a copy of this great paper about GRACE G=God's R=Revolution A=Achieved by C=Christ E=Exalted It could change your life!

Acts 21:37-22:18 As we finish Chptr 21 & go into Chptr 22 we see Paul is severely beaten but still wanting to share the love of Christ, he follows the leading of the Holy Spirit & then God's power comes over the riot. WOW! It is amazing to see how your personal experience with Jesus can affect even the hardest of hearts. Remember this fact: when God has called you to faith - HE already knows what He has prepared you for and what He wants you to do! Remember your own personal testimony & let God use it! 46min

1 Peter 1:3-25 (from NLT) I know we are in Acts 13 but you heard me speak of how Paul & Peter were a lot alike; therefore we will be looking & hearing how Peter conveyed the "Good News" message. There are so many lessons here for the new listener as well as the experienced believer. I praise our Lord God for giving us a 1 chapter "summary" of the entire Gospel Message. If we could just capture this message & share it with people who are seeking God, it would pretty much answer most of their questions of what to believe & what to expect. 32min

Matthew 10:27-39 So many lessons in today's message. Everything from learning the fear of God to not being afraid. Learning the nature and the character of God is one of the first things HE desires of us. Understanding that he knows every detail about us and our lives is also vital. Have you ever stopped to think about what it meant when Jesus said "I did not come to bring peace but a sword". We are in spiritual warfare right now, and the time of the rapture is getting very close. We must all learn to be FATOs - that is faithful, available, teachable, and obedient. We also covered what it means to give up our life here to gain eternal life in heaven. 52min

Assuming you are a "FATO" this message will help your understanding of what God wants of us. This message is for us to understand the root cause of all sin. Many don't know there are some things that our loving & merciful God hates! What is worldliness? We must understand our own nature in order to defeat the evil that we face daily. By Understanding what scripture says about the natural man & satan, we have a powerful key in our self appraisal & our following what God wants for us. Remember who you are in Christ & cannot lose. Remember what the world offers but cannot give. This is a check of your "appetites", your "affections", & your "ambitions". Remember you are at war with the ruler of this world! 54min

2 Peter 1:12-21 In today's lesson Peter reminds us to remember the basics of what God has taught us. We need to have confidence in what the Holy Spirit & Jesus the LivingWord of God has done for us by continually meditating on the basics of our faith. Peter, as he faced death, wanted to continually remind people of what Jesus had done for them. Please meditate on this: the life you see all around you every day is not true reality. ( that is a thought provoker for sure ) BUT true reality is God's spiritual world that we cannot quite see yet. But one day we will! I think you will find this message thought-provoking and encouraging. We all must remember the basics of our faith so that we can be strong and have good courage until the end, just like Peter. 55min

The lessons are big - God never leaves His people in the dark! HE tells us what He is going to do then He does it. Isa 53 foretells 10 prophecies about the coming Christ (have your pen & paper ready). We must look at all the Gospels to get a full picture of Jesus victory over death, the grave, & sin. Chuck Missler did a presentation (14 years ago?) on what the names from Adam to Noah actually say when explained. I think you'll be very surprised! You can find the 21 minute presentation on YouTube.com if you do a search for Chuck Missler, hidden codes, Adam to Noah. Also the handout I have today on the 10 names of God is available with a lot of the same comments that I made during my sermon. Matthew 14:13-21 This miracle of what Jesus did in feeding the 5000 has so many lessons to teach us. One word you will hear over and over again is the word compassion. Do you have any idea how much Jesus loves you? Even though the disciples had been with Jesus for a long time they needed to be taught about FAITH and TRUST in the one who cares so much for us. We especially need to hear the message of hope in these hard times. God is working out a plan that we don't quite understand right now. However, Jesus is still in the miracle working business. The impossible is God's specialty. Your limited resources plus Jesus equals more than enough. We need to learn that solving physical problems sometimes require a spiritual solution. And, most of all, God has compassion for you. 46min
